The writer when smelling this fragrance when working on this painting felt moved to write - Oberon consort of the Queen of Fairies Titania. He has the power to change to a human form so being a bridge between two worlds. Oberon also has a duality of nature. From jealous, selfish and demanding, he can also be romantic and concerned about human beings. As the dark and light divide, so does the primal and ethereal divide him.
