Davana is a small plant with the oil coming from the stems and leaves.
Davana is a difficult oil to describe because it is capable of smelling very different on each individual. The feedback tends to alternate between masculine floral scents through to a woody balsamic odour.
It is used in aromatherapy as being an agent to combat anxiety, anti-infectious, soothing to dry rough skin and a stimulant to the endocrine system.
Davana must be avoided during pregnancy and/or nursing.
