The essential oil has a fresh, warm, sweet, woody, herbaceous bouquet with a green, delicate spicy undertone of good tenacity. The bouquet is said to be essentially like that of Brazilian Rosewood, yet it possesses its own subtle distinguishing characteristics. The oil is said to be analgesic, anti-inflammatory, stimulant and insecticidal.
