Wintergreen Properties: Anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, expansion of the vessels, analgesic.

Wintergreen Indications: Arthritis, rheumatism, rheumatic polyarthritis; tendonitis, cramps; liver insufficiency; high blood pressure, headache, inflammation of coronary vessels; skin allergies.

Wintergreen Contraindications, side effects: None known for normal dosage.

Wintergreen is extensively used in pain relieving formulas, as its chemical makeup is essentially that of liquid aspirin.

Wintergreen has also been used as an anti-inflammatory, astringent, carminative and diuretic. This pale yellow oil has an intense sweet-woody aroma.
